What we collect
- Subscriber details you give us: name, work email address, company, and role, when you request a pilot or subscribe.
- Delivery and engagement data: whether a brief email was delivered and opened, so we can confirm the service is reaching your team and improve it.
- Incident text you submit to the analyser, which we process to generate the analysis you receive.
We do not collect special-category personal data, and we do not ask for it. Please do not include named individuals’ personal details in incident submissions.
Why we use it
We use this data only to deliver and operate the service: to send your daily briefs, to provide incident analyses you request, to confirm delivery, to support you, and to improve the quality of the briefs. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Lawful basis
Under the NDPR, we process your data on the basis of your consent (which you give by subscribing or submitting an incident) and our legitimate interest in delivering a service you have asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Day Zero, such as our email delivery provider, and only to the extent needed to operate the service. They are bound to protect it and use it only on our instructions.
Retention
We keep subscriber data for as long as you use the service, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet our records and legal obligations. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the NDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond within the timeframe the NDPR requires.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit access to those who need it to run the service.
